‘Could do with some reinforcements’: Chris Sutton Predicts Outcome of Everton V Wolves

Chris Sutton has predicted the outcome of Everton’s clash with Wolves at Hill Dickinson Stadium this evening.

The Toffees will be looking to get back to winning ways after an atrocious performance at the weekend.

The 4-2 defeat to Brentford was the third snotting on home soil this season. Nothing about the display or result was acceptable and a response is required.

The visitors earned their first win of the season against West Ham on Saturday, cruising to a 3-0 victory.

I’m almost relieved they got that win out of the way prior to this fixture. It had a late Christmas gift from the Blues written all over it.

RESPONSE REQUIRED FROM EVERTON TONIGHT, IN BOTH RESULT AND PERFORMANCE

BBC pundit Chris Sutton however insists Everton will secure three points tonight, despite needing ‘reinforcements’.

Predicting a 2-1 win for the Toffees, he said: “Everton boss David Moyes could do with some reinforcements in the January transfer window, but I don’t see his side losing two on the spin at home.

“The Toffees were well beaten by Brentford on Sunday but this seems like a good opportunity for them to get back on track.

“Their strikers Beto and Thierno Barry both scored in the same game against the Bees. Watching them struggle this season, that is unbelievable, really.

“Moyes probably thinks that is typical, for them to score when it doesn’t really matter, but maybe one of them will net when it does count, here.”

I’ve had my eye on this fixture for a few months, oscillating between over-confidence and dread.

Part of me thinks we’ll comfortably dispatch Rob Edwards’ side. That even with a depleted squad, we’ll be far too good for them.

However, part of me thinks this game will be more difficult than many of us would’ve perhaps assumed.

It’s just not knowing what Everton is going to turn up tonight. One things is for certain, some reinforcements are definitely needed this month.
