Everton have reportedly been offered the chance to sign AS Monaco full-back Vanderson this month.
The right-back is under contract at the French outfit until 2028, but is reportedly keen on a move.
The 24-year-old has been capped seven times by Brazil and is an attacking-minded full-back.
Monaco paid around £10m for the defender in 2022 and would likely want to double that this month, as per TEAMtalk.
Crystal Palace are reportedly interested, while Brighton and Spurs have also been contacted by intermediaries.
It is not the first time he has been linked with a move to the Premier League. Indeed, he almost joined Brentford back in 2022, but was persuaded by a move to Ligue 1 instead.
In 137 appearances for Monaco, the Brazilian has scored eight goals and contributed 16 assists.
The right-back has two assists to his name this season in eight games (five starts, two substitute appearances).
BLUES WILL CONTINUE TO DROP POINTS UNTIL RIGHT-BACK ISSUES RECTIFIED
It’s no secret that the Toffees are in need of fresh legs at right-back this month. Jake O’Brien has provided cover for most of this season.
However, the central defender cannot continue to play out of position. Defensively, he’s finding himself exposed, and he offers nothing in attack.
The Irishman was superb at centre-back during last month’s 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest.
The lesser spotted Nathan Patterson featured at right-back at the City Ground, but was dropped for Sunday’s clash against Brentford.
It left many fans wondering why a winning team was changed following the 4-2 home defeat.
Regardless, Moyes must be backed this month, and a right-back has to be top of his shopping list.
With the league table incredibly tight, the finest of margins will decide whether we’re in European contention or not.
Rectifying the issues at right-back will be a big piece of the puzzle for Moyes’ rebuild.
