Every Striker Everton Have Been Linked with Ahead of January Transfer Window

The Toffees need a goalscorer, and have been linked with a plethora of names in recent weeks. As January edges closer, no doubt the list of potential candidates will increase.

We look at a conclusive list of some of the names so far.

Troy Parrott – AZ Alkmaar

Parrot’s heroics for Ireland have seen his name linked with just about everyone. Predictably, Everton’s name is among them. The Toffees reportedly had scouts watching the 23-year-old while on international duty.

His time in the Netherlands has been a success, with 33 goals in 61 games. After struggling at Spurs, perhaps he’ll want another crack at the Premier League.

Ivan Toney – Al-Ahli

Plenty of reports suggesting that Toney wants a return to England to force his way into Thomas Tuchel’s plans. Everton, Manchester United and Spurs are all rumoured to be interested. However, his club director in Saudi Arabia insists he’s staying put.

Daizen Maeda – Celtic

Maeda is said to want a move away from Glasgow, though there’ll be competition for his signature. Brentford could reignite their interest from the summer, alongside a trio of other Premier League clubs.

The Japanese international scored 33 goals in Scotland last season, so knows where the net is. He’d be a decent buy, and might not break the bank.

Joshua Zirkzee – Manchester United

It hasn’t worked out for the Dutchman in the Premier League. He’s scored just seven goals in 54 games since his move from Bologna.

I think the lad has ability, but isn’t really what we need right now. He’s clearly lacking confidence, and perhaps his strengths aren’t being played to. Sounds familiar.

Eliezer Mayenda – Sunderland

Mayenda seems like a real prospect, and we’ve reportedly sent scouts to watch him. At 20-years-old, he might be more of a project player, rather than someone who can hit the ground running.

He’s already scored some important goals for Sunderland during their promotion campaign last season.

Gabriel Jesus – Arsenal

A top player, albeit an injury prone one. Jesus would be a superb signing. The Blues were heavily linked recently, as were West Ham. The Gunners are reportedly reluctant to let him leave, however.

Richarlison – Spurs

Spurs are apparently willing to let him go. I’m usually not really in favour of resigning players, but I’ve never got over us selling Richie. Bring him home. Just make it happen.
