Abdoulaye Doucouré has admitted that he has yet to hold contract talks with the club, and expects to make a decision on his future within the next three weeks.
The 31-year-old, who was a guest on Ben Foster’s Fozcast podcast, revealed that his current deal at Goodison Park is set to expire — and that while Everton have not yet made a move to extend it, offers from elsewhere have already come in.
“There’s not been any talks so far with Everton,” Doucouré told Foster.
“I think personally, I don’t wait for them to give me a contract or not, because my contract is finished. I already have some proposals on the table, to be honest, and I think in the next three weeks I will have to take my decision — whether I stay or not, whether I have a proposition or not, obviously. But I want this to finish within three weeks, to announce if I stay or leave the club.”
