Everton Sack Frank Lampard

Everton have sacked manager Frank Lampard following the 2-0 defeat to West Ham which left the club 19th in the table with just 15 points from 20 games – their fewest at this stage of any campaign in their history (accounting for three points per win).

Lampard, who joined the club in January 2022 – won just 12 of 44 games, losing 24 of them.

A run of 11 defeats in 14 games, stretching back to October has led to Everton being in real danger of suffering their first relegation since 1951.

Attention now turns to who Everton’s calamitous board will appoint to replace Frank Lampard as Everton’s sixth permanent manager in five years.
