Marco Silva believes Everton’s 2-0 victory over Bournemouth was an important three points.
Marco Silva: “They were an important three points for us. We knew before the match it was important to turn the last few results back our way.
“Even if 2-0 is a tough result to take for them, we deserved the points and our players showed big personality and character as a team.
“Of course it’s a really important win. It’s always important when you win. We didn’t achieve the last results that we want as a club. It was tough but to be honest we deserved the three points. We didn’t start well the first 20-25 minutes, some mistakes.”
Referee Anthony Taylor frustrated Goodison Park, and his performance was put to Marco Silva who said: “I’m sure that if you are an Everton supporter, then today you will be really unhappy with the referee. Some of the decisions were really strange.”
