Jordan Pickford believes fatigue has been a contributing factor in Everton’s dismal run of form.
Pickford: “We had such a good run but, after playing the five games in 14 days [between the Goodison Park encounters with Swansea City and Manchester United on 18 December and 1 January, respectively], I think a bit of fatigue started to set in.
“The objectives are about getting fit and being resilient as a team, which is what we are working hard towards on the training pitch.
“We have really hard days at Finch Farm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays – as well as doing tactical work on Wednesdays and Fridays.
“The manager always has us ready for game day. All the work we do is to make sure we are as well prepared as possible for the next match.”
“He has had a little go recently, but has also allowed for the fact we worked our socks off in a lot of games in a short space of time.”
