Everton 0-1 West Brom

Everton lose 1-0 to West Brom.

Somehow, Everton fall to defeat against Baggies. Don’t ask me how, I’m stumped too.

Unchanged side including Robles. And West Brom have not had a shot on target in 3 of their last 4 matches. Let’s see, eh?

Aaron Lennon started the match like his pubic hair was on fire, easily beating the full back. Everton start on top so naturally, we concede first, with Robles repaying the faith shown in him in a ‘unique’ way.

Everton have now conceded more goals at home than any other team in the top 5 leagues in Europe. Anyone remember how to defend again? Anyone?

WBA seem to be experts at time wasting but mostly that just makes Goodison angry. Angry Goodison is usually good for results. Funes Mori, Lennon, Cleverley and Barkley successively go close but how Everton stay behind is a mystery, unless you understand Sod’s law in which case I’m sure it’s clear.

Lukaku finishes a quiet half for him with an effort but at half time Everton are inexplicably behind, left to rue the fact it should be 4-1.

No initial changes upon commencing the second half and it’s still all Everton. When the first change rolls around it’s Kone on – and on the evidence here, I’ll say good on him from returning from an awful injury, but there ain’t no way he’s good enough for Everton.

Martinez for me made the total wrong subs, much like his predecessor.

Massively frustrating day. Fume away.
