Arsenal ‘keeper David Ospina has admitted “Everton is a team to be reckoned with and a great opportunity”.
The 26-year-old Colombian made the comments to Mundo Deportivo in response to transfer talk linking him with a move to Everton, but he maintained he is willing to fight for his place at Arsenal.
“I want to stay at Arsenal I want to keep proving my worth at Arsenal and showing everything David Ospina can give to them.
“Today I am Arsenal goalkeeper. I have four years remaining on my contract. Let’s see what happens
“There are some possibilities (to move away) but my mind is at Arsenal. I want to stay. I am very happy in London and my family too so I hope that at least I can respect the the remainder of my contract.”
“[Everton] are a very competitive team, a team to be reckoned with, with a good manager, and that play good football. It is a team to take into account and a great opportunity [in case I leave].”
