Paddy’s Preview: Everton vs West Ham

Everton are 8/15 favourites to beat West Ham with Paddy Power and sign off the season in style with another home win at Goodison Park.

A win at Fortress Goodison guarantees the home side a top-six finish and the stadium has been one of the hardest places for teams to visit this season with the Toffees losing just once in a 39-point haul in front of the home fans.

And England international Leighton Baines Leighton praised the passionate Evertonian support for the club’s impressive home record.

“It’s great for us as players to know that we are giving the fans something to cheer about and we are winning games at home, “ Baines said.

“People know that they are always in for a tough game when they come across to Goodison. The fans make for a hostile atmosphere; they are very passionate.”

The Toffees were 2-1 winners at Upton Park earlier this season with Victor Anichebe and Steven Pienaar and hitting the net twice as Everton came form behind to win 2-1.

A repeat of the scoreline against the Hammers is 13/2 with Paddy Power while Anichebe to score the first goal is 5/1 with the online form and the Nigerian international is 7/5 to hit the onion sack at any time.

Belgian international Pienaar was on the mark in the 1-0 win over Fulham a fortnight ago and is 10/1 to get the game’s opener or 15/2 to score first for his team as he searches for his seventh goal of the season.

Everton have shown their battling qualities all season and came from a goal down in London to take all three points and Paddy Power offer 15/2 that the Toffees come from behind to win again while over 2.5 goals is 4/6.

It got a bit tasty in the earlier league meeting with Darron Gibson and Carlton Cole receiving their marching orders and its 7/1 someone to head for an early bath on Sunday.
