Marouane Fellaini is relishing the prospect of beating Sunderland at the weekend to earn another date at Wembley.
The influential midfielder scored a massive, equalising goal as Everton overturned a 1-0 deficit to knock out Middlesbrough in the 2009 FA Cup Quarter Final and Felli is hoping for a repeat at the weekend.
“I remember scoring that goal,†Fellaini told evertontv. “It is a great memory for me.
“We were down 1-0 at the time and I scored to make it 1-1. Louis (Saha) then got the winner and we went to Wembley. I would love to score again on Saturday.
“Tuesday was difficult and I think every player is now looking forward to Saturday,†he added. “It is an important cup game. The players are angry and now looking forward to the weekend.â€
“I think we have got a good chance,†he said. “We are at home in front of our supporters and they will be with the team. It is a big chance for us to reach the semi-final.
“I am sure the fans will be right behind us on Saturday and they will be keen to get to Wembley.â€
