Felli Talks Wembley

Marouane Fellaini is relishing the prospect of beating Sunderland at the weekend to earn another date at Wembley.

The influential midfielder scored a massive, equalising goal as Everton overturned a 1-0 deficit to knock out Middlesbrough in the 2009 FA Cup Quarter Final and Felli is hoping for a repeat at the weekend.

“I remember scoring that goal,” Fellaini told evertontv. “It is a great memory for me.

“We were down 1-0 at the time and I scored to make it 1-1. Louis (Saha) then got the winner and we went to Wembley. I would love to score again on Saturday.

“Tuesday was difficult and I think every player is now looking forward to Saturday,” he added. “It is an important cup game. The players are angry and now looking forward to the weekend.”

“I think we have got a good chance,” he said. “We are at home in front of our supporters and they will be with the team. It is a big chance for us to reach the semi-final.

“I am sure the fans will be right behind us on Saturday and they will be keen to get to Wembley.”
