Everton 1-1 Blackburn

Blackburn deny Everton a Premier League victory in another frustrating stalemate at Goodison Park.

Tim Cahill gave Everton the lead on 24 minutes, albeit in controversial fashion with Maroune Fellaini´s handball in the build-up missed by the referee Mark Halsey.

Blackburn deservedly levelled on 72 minutes courtesy of some calamitous defending. A free-kick was delivered into the Everton box, Tim Howard failed in his attempt to claim the aerial ball, and Tim Cahills effort to save his keeper proved without avail when his goal-line clearance clashed off Goodwillie and into the net.
