David Moyes has told Evertonians to expect any signings in January to again be from the loan market.
Moyes: “We need somebody of real quality and someone like that is going to cost a lot of money. Bringing in someone who is going to make a big difference is the hard bit.
“January is a short burst. The agents ring you up and the names you get are ridiculous. Some are well past their best or far too much money or not at the level we require. But you take the calls and you decide.
“In the past we have tended to look at the loan market and that is what we will probably do again in this window.â€
Speaking in November, Chairman Bill Kenwright assured fans “there will be money – there will be investment in January”.
