Maybe RM is looking at giving him some minutes and giving Barry a rest?

Nah, he's not been able to get into yeovil's side recently. Think given that, RM feels it's better to get him back in the u21's for the last weeks of the season. Also a chance to have a closer look at him at FF.

Duffy is not good enough for a team aspiring to challange the top 4. We MUST go out a buy a quality Distin replacement this summer!

Duffy has done well but nowhere near enough to suggest he'll be a top premier league CB
Duffy looked great in the five games he played for us MOTM in three imo a centre back who can win the ball in the air ball winning centre back we do not seem to have one Distan is pants in the air!

Duffy, from what I've heard, and the little I've seen, is an 'old fashioned' centre half. He's been the standout player in a poor Yeovil team. He's a good tackler, good in the air and reads the game quite well. However, he's pretty poor on the ball and has no pace whatsoever. I've got a feeling he'll turn out to be quite a good premier league defender but probably not for Everton because Martinez wants players who can bring it out from the back. We'll see though.

Trio Loaned Out

Thursday 27th March 2014 16:41 by Matthew Gamble

Lundstram, Hope and Pennington join Vellios in making loan moves.

Three more Everton youngsters have headed out on loan, following Apostolos Vellios' switch to Blackpool.

John Lundstram, Matthew Pennington and Hallam Hope have joined Football League clubs Leyton Orient, Tranmere and Bury respectively.

Midfielder Lundstram has joined Orient on loan for a month.

The 20-year-old is now in immediate contention for Saturday's home game against Bradford.

The move is Lundstram's second loan spell of the season after he made 17 appearances for Championship side Yeovil Town earlier this term.

The Os are currently third in League One, three points off the automatic places.

Meanwhile, Pennington has rejoined Tranmere on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old defender heads back to Prenton Park after playing nine games for Rovers in January and February this year.

The League One side, currently managed by interim boss John McMahon, are battling to stay out of the relegation zone and host Carlisle on Saturday.

And forward Hope has joined Bury on loan until the end of the season.

He could be in contention to feature at former loan club Northampton Town on Saturday.

The 20-year-old had already spent one month with the Cobblers earlier this term and now has a further chance to pick up experience in League Two.

Earlier on Thursday Apostolos Vellios joined Blackpool on a season-long loan.

Weird how Lundstram was, by all accounts, doing well at Championship Yeovil, and now he's moved down a division and is at League One Leyton Orient. Lundstram helped to get Doncaster promoted last season so maybe he'll do it again.
