Everton have spent the overwhelming majority of their history in England’s top division, with only four seasons ever played in the second tier (in the 1930s and early 1950s). This gives them one of the longest top-flight records of any English club.
Everton’s most recent major trophy is the 1995 FA Cup, won under Joe Royle with a 1-0 win over Manchester United at Wembley.
