If Silva was here, players like Zlatan would be a pipedream. It will be interesting to see how much pull Ancelotti brings, should he come.

Yes...but there were a few brief shining moments from Samuel, and Gazza was good for a laugh. …..although I'll give Gazza some credit...in that never to be forgotten cup tie at Middlesborough, the low point in my following of Everton to away games...Gazza at least tried his best,but as he was way past his best, his best on that day was not enough. Anyone who thinks our current lot pre Big Dunc the Coach were thelaziest least caring Everton ever...they should have been in Middleborough that fateful day.

.....the United game at Goodison a few years ago was brilliant to watch the contrast between Ibrahimovic and Lukaku. I loved watching it from the Park End.

The old fella led the line, was an out ball for both full backs and went to war with our defence (ask Coleman). Lukaku was static. It was a great comparison. Ibrahimovic was terrific, what a performance.

I would take Zlatan until the end of season. No decent striker is going to join us in January & he will be great for raising everybody else's game a few percent (hopefully). Will also improve DCL further & give Kean a death stare until the boy moves. Factor in the media buzz etc & I'm ok with it. Not over the moon, just ok.
