I just remember being in such dismal competitions due to our lovely neighbours murdering folk in Belgium. The rest I've erased from memory.
Indeed. But EFC should have taken Eufa and the British Government to the highest courts and got the ban overturned and compo.

Was there for that. Absolutely ice cold. Not even 8,000 in the ground.

I was there but can't remember anything about the game except I was too frozen to grip the butty my nan made me.

I only remember it because I kept the stub, one of the coldest most shivery nights of my young beautiful life.

I remember the guy behind me screaming offside into my ear. I asked my Dad if it was offside and him replying in the negative and saying that the gentleman to my astern was a prick.

Much merriment arose as I ate my kitkat as I recall.

Actually I might be thinking about when we played Plymouth in the FA Cup. Or was it the Woking game?

Sweet hazy memories that thankfully include no actual Everton footy.

I think it was, most of us though were huddled together at the back of the street end!
I was standing in the front bit to the right with my mates dad, there wasn't a soul for a good twenty foot anywhere near us, two of us frozen and sucking fishermen friends sweets because he said the help keep you warm, they didn't work.
some right daft cups going back years, the texico cup ,Anglo scottish ect

I went to the ZDS final as a very young boy. We were able to change our seats at half time as there were plenty available. We somehow managed to get from the upper level behind the goal, to the lower level just near the half way line.

I normally have an encyclopedia type memory for the games I've been but I do recall going to Blackburn when in my early-teens around 90/91ish were we played garbage but somehow gave them a beating and Cottee netted a few.

Could use google and cheat but not going too!

Lets just remember joke competitions like the Simod/ZDS/Full Members cup were only brought in because clubs were losing money due to the European ban.

So when we could've been playing the likes of Barcelona, we were playing the likes of Charlton,Blackburn and other small clubs infront an empty ground instead.

My memories of the full members cup as it was originally called were that most of the top clubs in the country (which we were clearly one of at that time) didn't bother entering it? I don't recall arsenal, Liverpool,spurs,man.u. being in it,so Christ knows why we did. When we played Charlton,we were chasing a league title, yet we would have had a pretty strong team out. The screen sport trophy was just a one off wasn't it,for the clubs who should have been in Europe?

Yes, EFC should have taken Eufa and the British Government to the highest courts and asked them to defend themselves...

Actually can recall they battered
us over two legs in the final and their "classy"celebrations at Goodison after the second leg,i remember thinking how can they celebrate a tournament that their club/fans have created through their own indigressions, but I suppose that is what makes them what they are eh?

Losing on penalties to Charlton Athletic on a Baltic night at Goodison.

wasn't the final the following season cos neither cba playing it or trying to fit it in ? & when Beglin broke his leg ?

I remember a game against Newcastle with hardly anyone there, 5-0 up at half time and just strolled about in 2nd half, they cba even giving us a goal at the street end.

in the screensport cup we played utd away after they won their first 10 league games, sheedy scored a couple of worldies and we beat them.
the away games at norwich and spurs were memorable only because we only took half an amberline coach to each game!
