All that’s really happened this evening is we’ve come out and publicly stated that we bid for Zaha over the weekend.

Now, if Zaha is serious about moving, he knows what to do in today’s player power world of football

I don’t think Zaha had any interest in moving to Everton.
Zaha is scuppered by the length of his contract and Palace don’t want to sell, hence the prohibitive price.
Clearly Arsenal found the asking price a bit rich also and moved on to a better option.
Which means Brands and Everton have been mugged off on this one.

I applaud Everton for coming out and making that clear statement which has been confirmed by CP. The club have been clear and upfront, there apparently is no more interest inZaha.

I don’t think that’s the end of it. We seemed to have a lot of respect for Palace and maybe this Statement is us attempting to keep the noise down so we can negotiate without the Sky circus in the back ground.

I think this one was denied because someone was feeding false information to Sky, to the detriment of both clubs.
My guess would be someone from Zaha’s camp.
No club likes to stand accused of bad faith, understandably.
