I truly believe, if we signed him, he’d just be another painfully average (at best) winger for us.

The only way I can make any sense of any potential interest is if Marco has designs on playing him at CF as he did with Richarlison last year. Even then I’m not sure it’d work but makes slightly more sense than paying scandalous money to someone to run down blind alleys on the wing.

I think he's got quality in him but is a huge risk. But it's true what many level headed blues have stated, we are not going to attract superstars. We are still building a team to move us forward into the Europa league places.

£55M opening bid which, if all parties are serious, could end any up somewhere in the silly money region? Really?
More likely Palace and/or Agents playing silly beggers trying get the Gunners or whoever to talk real money.

If we did have £55M to spunk on one player, there are more value for money targets in positions we actually need.

I would say RW is one of the key positions we need to strengthen in tbh.

As it stands one injury to Richarlison or Bernard and its Walcott or Bolasie in the side who are both gash.

I would also say players like Neres and Pepe are valued at £50-60 million by Ajax/Lille - however there is not guarantee they would make the step up to the PL.

Who's to say Zaha wouldn't score 15-20 a season in the farmer Dutch League or weaker French League?

If we were seriously interested in him £60-65 million would be a pricey but fair deal in the current crazy market.

Nevermind them 2, what if DCL gets injured...oh sorry of course, Tosun or Sandro or Niasse are ample cover...more show pony wingers it is then

What on earth is Paul Merson going to say this time!
If Arsenal signed him for £60m he would be a proven Premier league player and could push them into CL places.

If we sign him, we would have over paid for a luxury player who doesn't do it every week.

( the fact if he does perform 10-15 times for us, he's unplayable and could get us 4th will be missed by Merson though )

The ST position is certainly key mate however it sounds like we are after Kean who with a year left on his deal wont cost more than £30-40 million by the sounds of these Italian reports.

No striker costing £70+ million would be in our range anyway without CL football.

Please NO - he wants to go to Arsenal. We are the stalking horse and might be in a deal for Palace to spend some of Arsenal's dosh on Oumar or James - Let it go.....

Would you not say a front man is more important as we donr have anyone decent for last 3 year up there?
