I guess I see him more as strengthening the midfield while Bardsley does a job in defence. You've got Oviedo and even Grabutt if Baines goes down on the left but we've been threadbare on the right with Hibbo and Coleman both down, sometimes at the same time. One more RB would be useful IMO

There's strength in depth. And the there's 4 right backs. And one of them is Phil Bardsley.

Yeah why not. Loan deal to end of season. At worst would strengthen our bench.

It really would be nice if we got that sort of player in as Fellainis replacement early. If only so we can see the sort of team we could have had with money for half a season.

Not sure he's got lots of options tbf. Wenger been trying to get rid a long while. Not so sure he'd be ace either. On the wing he doesn't track back or help the defense out, maybe playing the number 10 role if Fellaini went would be a better option.

Tbh given the choice would rather Donovan. But would settle for a gamble on arshavin.
