I have to say, what a colossal waste of money this guy was when money was insanely tight and we had Ashley Young at rb. It was strange at the time and it's not gotten any less stranger.

Ashley Young starts the first 2 games at left back. On merit.

A lot of posters still seem to think this lad is going to be tops, just give him games and he’ll magically be just what we need. Here’s hoping but I’m not sure it works that way in reality.

I kind of agree with you but also disagree , we’ve mismanaged young players for particularly strikers who Otherwise had a chance .

Young players need exposure but that has to be controlled

Young local players don't get a chance we would rather put two keepers on the bench explain that one ?
Hopefully Dibling when signed is our future idea of youngsters & experience is the way forwards as we are one of the slowest teams in the prem - Chermiti's injury was a big blow to him & us ..... rumoured to may be moving on ?

Some people thrive in a certain environment and until they actually get a proper chance its hard to know, you can only tell so much from training.
