The lad is absolutely desperate to score a goal at Goodison before he no longer has the opportunity. I'm all for giving him as much of a chance to do so as we can.

I hoped Chermiti would be the choice, simply because it’d be a positive indication we might have a decent player on our hands. He really needs to be making an impact now.

There may be a conclusion here that he likes the player and wants to see him deliver so he can sign him before the end of the season.

Chermiti is coming off his first long term injury and there may be a number of reasons why Moyes didnt play him.

Surely injured otherwise having Coleman, Young and Patterson all on the bench is a very daft decision, especially if you had the option of actually using a right back in the game with a capable centre back playing there already.
