2023/24 Youssef Chermiti

Maybe shown enough in training to warrant letting Danjuma go? Maybe took a bit of time adjusting, only Gomes in the squad that speaks Portuguese isn't there? Speed of the league, cold weather, non stop games and being all of 19 might have a toll on a kid 6 months away from what he knew having made it all the way to the PL show.

He’s a central striker. The Danjuma bit doesn’t make sense.

The lad was bought as a back up to a back up.

In case DCL had an injury hit season and Beto didnt really adapt, for now DCL has stayed fit and Beto is doing ok.

Would like to see the lad play some games for the U21s, but then if he gets injured, well you know what happens then, its hard for the lad.

Hes still very young and hopefully he gets more time to show his talent.

He’s a young lad that needs to settle in our environment, with our coaches looking at him & his areas of development.

Farming him out to PSV or Preston right now isn’t what he needs. Next season with a recall option if DCL or Beto are out for a long period sure.

….its a weird bit of business spending £15m on a player who looks a long way from being any use. For £15m in our position we need players who can influence football matches immediately.

Maupay, Beto and Chermiti have been brought in for circa £50m, surely we could’ve spent the money better.
