….must show something in training as Dyche does give him cameo’s. Not seeing anything just yet, one decent flick header today before losing possession in the lead up to their 2nd goal. Hopefully has a bit more quality than Beto but time will tell.

Yeah header was a decent one and better than we saw from DCL or Beto.

Looks to me increasingly like he could be used in Doucoures position. The little headed flicks and layoffs make him more effective in build up play (so far).

Giving him 2.5mins before added time and a short cameo last week isnt going to allow him to develop in game is it?

Should be seeing 10-15mins before added time to give him a bit more development.

Need him up to speed and showing hes soon going to be a better option than Beto.

Tbf, he's not had much game time. I'm not sure today when he came on, if he knew how he was expected to play. I'm not sure if he is an link-up player but more of an old fashioned type CF.

But the lad needs a fair crack, but theres plenty of time.

I expect Everton to react positively at West Ham, and beat them.
If Chemitti is in the squad, he may get some game time.
UTFTs!

…you keep saying this but I see absolutely no indication he could play the Doucoure role. Most of the decent things he does are with his back to goal, not sure I see him front facing covering the ground Doucoure does.

….he’s not going to start ahead of DCL and Beto. He’s 3rd choice.

Id have him in the role (space) Doucoure occupies.

But as you say, I would have him with his back to goal -- with the flick ons and layoffs weve seen so far hopefully benefiting DCL, midfield and wide players.

I think aside from Doucoures goals (very important) theres nothing to lose in the build up play.

Doucoure plays mostly as a Striker.

Games like today he needs to drop more into midfield, but hes basically a Striker most of the time.

….so, that doesn’t sound like the Doucoure role, it seems like you want him to play up front alongside another striker. It means we’d have to play 4-4-2, a completely new approach. He looks a long way from being a starter to me.

... he's a young player

As I wrote, the same space Doucoure occupies.
