That’s not a bad price at all really, we only notice it cos we’re utterly skint but basically no one goes for below £10m these days, at a bit over £12m this seems fair with the rate of everything else.

Still leaves the potential for that £18m + Maupay to go to Dia too, as we were paying £30m for Toure.

This is an Onana style signing. Nobody had heard of him. Maybe under the radar, maybe a Mikel Madar, however at least it shows we are actively trying to sign someone. However it’s strange we would let Simms go, and then go and get someone this young in. At least Simms had shown he knows where the net is, but it’s Everton I suppose. We could have a gem.

Tbf it's quite a bit more of a risk than Toure - Toure has been scouted extensively for a couple of years and has played full seasons at the top league in France and Spain. This lad, who might be great for all I know, is far less experienced
