Your unforgettable Goodison Park FA Cup memory

Boro in the 09 quarters, was convinced our name was on the trophy. That last few seconds I was stood at the front of the Lower Street End, shoulder to shoulder embracing my 3 oldest mates, the second the whistle went we were bouncing all over the joint hugging and high fiving

Definitely the 4-4 against the rs. Bonkers game that was. A lot of my favourite fa cup memories are away games. Honourable mention for the 5-4 against Spurs under Ancelotti with the coffee cup cooling celebration! Such a shame there were no fans for that one.

I was locked out. Got in when they opened the gates after 90 minutes, after 7 pints in the Blue House. Fella in front of me couldn't understand why I was singing all the time because, "it's been a s**te game".
Think I might have ha a cple pints with you matey. I too got locked out and went to the Abbey and the Blue house, got in to see O'Keefe score the winner 🤣

Always remember the 2 nil against Chelsea with 2 quality goals by Lukaku
Was at that match. Was such a mental day for me. Was working in a bar on Seel Street and a bunch of Everton lads came in for drinks before the match. Got talking to them, had the banter and just in passing I said I wasn't able to get a ticket etc.

Few drinks later they came over and said their mate couldn't make it and offered me his ticket for free. Luckily I'd a dead sound manager who let me clock off early for the night. Had a pint or two with them then a taxi up to Goodison and we were sat Park End right beside the Chelsea away end.

What a night, atmosphere was electric. Actually thought I was going to die celebrating when Lukaku scored the 2nd. Thought my heart stopped and looked around and there was lads falling over chairs and all sorts!

Funny looking back that I just went to the match with a group of lads I didn't even know and had a cracking day out, sums us up as a fanbase

Would love to know if any of those lads are on here.

He was right. It was rancid as a game, but when we scored utter bedlam

A mix for me.
The 4-4 was a crazy match. The Viet Cong played some fantastic football that night yet when it was 1-1 Nevin and Newell both had unbelievable chances to put us ahead. When Cottee equalised for 3-3 and arl fella next to me had his hands on his his head (in celebration!) and kept saying "I can't believe it" because it really was an unbelievable match, the highlights reel doesn't do it any justice.
The worst? Easily that Wigan game, compounded by how cold and wet it was. The walk home after that defeat was a long one.
Though not the first cup match I saw at Goodison, 4th round v Blackburn in 1986 always stuck with me. It was a tremendous atmosphere at the ground that day, bizarrely Rovers were given half of the Enclosure as well as, as was the custom then, the whole Park End. I don't think there is any TV footage but IIRC Van Den Hauwe scored a diving header for our first and the noise that greeted that goal was cacophonous. FA Cup games then were truly different.

Beating the RS 2-1 Eastoe and Varadi

After years of losing and only Kings winner this was a fantastic occasion.

Special memory of Eamonn O'Keefe's winner against Southampton too.
My first Merseyside derby. I was around 7 or 8 and Varadi was my favourite player at the time. I remember that game made an impression on me and started my distain of the RS.
