Your own sentimental memories of Goodison.

The greatest memory I have of Goodison was in 1964 when I played in the final of a schoolboy final on the Goodison pitch, we won the cup 3-2, a thing I will never forget at a time when Everton and Liverpool were allowed to play school finals on Goodison and Anfield.
I think there was one final not sure if it was at Goodison or Anfield between St. Anthony’s and St. Sylvesters when there was around 10,000 at the game and I was at the English Schoolboys final between Liverpool Boys and Stockport Boys at Anfield in 1948 when over 40,000 attended the game a 3-3 draw, it was a two legged final——the other game finished 1-1 so they shared holding the cup six months each!

Thank you for that, but today now as a disabled supporter I was not able to get a disabled season ticket for my carer although I could have had one for myself in the new stadium, not able to get there without my carers transport. very disappointed.
That's very sad mate, have you tried Everton in the Community,if they may be able to assist in some way?

Taking my daughter to her first game (4-0 against Hull) and her vomiting everywhere because she had a stomach bug. I told her we only do that over the park.

Company I work for entered a few teams into a 7 a side tournament a few years ago that ended with the last day playing at Goodison. Walked out onto the pitch for our games to Z Cars, lost all the games we played but hearing that walking out was something else.

I saw Roy Vernon score a hat trick at Goodison against Fulham to clinch the title in 1963. I watched Alan Whittle and Colin Harvey score the goals against West Brom to secure the league for imo then best Everton team of all time, but, I would have to say, it was the magnificent night against Bayern Munich that is my own sentimental memory of Goodison. What a night, what an atmosphere and what a result.

Imagine we rent this out to United when they build their bizarre bazaar and then have to “visit” them for our “away” fixture…
