It's Everton so I'm pessimistic. However I know Carlo will demand the best whether the structure at the club will allow him to succeed we have to hope and pray. We have become a irrelevance in recent years we have to sort it out and it might take a few more years yetm

Let’s get a grip. We have a squad that is more than capable of finishing top 8, some dross and some decent kids coming through. We have one of the best managers in the game and an owner with deep pockets who hasn’t given up just yet. I don’t know about Brands, but I’d give him a little more time.

This is proving to be another extremely disappointing season, but we have some positives, Duncan is clearly an option in the future and we have Ancelotti. It’s not great but it’s got potential. Keep the faith

New Manager who is top of the range.
New stadium on the horizon which will be top of the range.

We need to give Ancelotti time. It will be years before we could get anyone as classy as him. Let him build a good squad and success will follow and snowball.
I’m optimistic because of him.

I think we may have reached the point of no return , the constant turnover of managers and staff with the resulting ill matched group of players, coupled with debilitating injuries, has created a damaging state of instability in the club which is now inescapable.
We have disaffected players at war with nihilistic and irate fans, we have reached a terminal velocity of disaster.
I can envisage no sure way of avoiding the now inevitable crash that lays ahead.
Our future looks dire.

So not very optimistic then?

We need to stop buying 'names' who want 100k a week off the bat and start buying players who fit into the jigsaw puzzle the best.

This will probably stop us buying the players who have been at a bigger clubs and not made the grade. Once this happens the only way is down, by giving them top dollar with little chance of winning they will happily dawdle into retirement. We need players who are moving in the opposite direction, early to mid-twenties who want to reach the top and have the hunger and desire to boot.

If we can get the base right, with togetherness and a good team spirit then you can go and find the 3 or so world class players that will compliment the side.

Don't believe anything will change til we get rid of the cancer in the dressing room. It's been hinted that it's Schneiderlin, Sigurdsson and Delph. If so, get rid. Get rid of reject Moyes, Martinez and Allardyce’s signings too. The only positive now is all the fans are united behind Ancelloti, no more golden cows on the pitch. We've all seen the players for what they are and too many of them have seen too many managers sacked.

I'm reserving judgment until I see the financials.

Great manager, but he's only as good as his tools. From what I'm seeing, we're looking at 30 months to meaningfully free up wages. If the financials are as bad as I am afraid they will be, then I will be very pessimistic. If not and it looks like Ancelotti will have the freedom to put his stamp on the squad, then I will have some optimism.

Didn't know where else to put this but the CIES Football Observatory puts Richarlison as the 16th highest valued player in the world, at €104 million. Not sure how accurate these are as they've also got Jordan Pickford at €73 million and Alex Iwobi at €73 million, ahead of Kevin De Bruyne at €70 million lol lol

Ha ha.......yes the guy who creates that is named Marhad Foshiri :pint2:
