Not sure you could make a workable formation out of these, but my favourite non-Everton players of the Premier League era would be;

Tim Flowers (Underrated the season Blackburn won the title. Made some hugely important saves)

Dennis Irwin (Every team needs someone like him)

Vincent Kompany (A great leader of men)

Sol Campbell (Few were better when he was in his prime)

Pablo Zabaletta (Great player during the City days and always came across as a good bloke)

Claude Makalele (My favourite non-Everton player ever)

David Beckham (NEA what people think, I've always liked him)

Ngolo Kante (An absolute crime that he's never won a Ballon d'or)

Gianfranco Zola (A little magician)

Eric Cantona (The type of character the game is missing these days)

Tino Asprilla (Always interesting to watch due to being such a nutter)

...i’m a huge Beckham fan, too. Despite the riches, football mattered to him. Great shout with Makelele, he sets the standard for that DM role.

Oh god, how did I forget sol Campbell? Ah well, I'll keep tatibo's hair in mine. Kompany was replaced by ramos in mine.

I suppose I will do a full 11 then seeing as the thread creator did.

GK Rinat Dasayev
Other than Southall he was the first goalie I remember is being top quality. I tend to like eccentric goalkeepers, Chilvert, Higuita, Campos etc but Dasayev was the complete opposite of this. Just a solid goalie.

DF Sinisa Mihaljovic
A bit of a knob really, I can't say I agree with many of his opinions but his talent was unquestionable and I do love a defender who can take a good set piece. If only that late 80's early 90's Yugoslav team could have stayed together the landscape of international football in the 90's could have been much different.

DF Pietro Vierchowod
Pacy as anything and hard as nails. Gets somewhat overlooked due to the abundance of quality Italian defenders of the time like Baresi, Bergomi and Maldini (all of which came very close to getting in my team)

DF Matthias Sammer
My favourite ever player. Just oozed class but also had a bit of nark in him. I used to love how he would pick the ball up in defence, lay it off and then a few seconds later he would just magically turn up in the box to score. It's a shame that he was not really on the big stage for long, played for East Germany in his early days and had to retire early due to injury. A complete footballer.

DF Daniel Passarella
Another goalscoring defender. I am noticing that my defenders mostly have something in common in that they are either undersized or can score goals. He ticks both boxes.

MF Zbigniew Boniek
The Polish sides of the 70's and early 80's are another team who gets overlooked. They were one of the best teams around and Boniek was an exceptional talent. Could play anywhere within reason.

MF Alain Giresse
Back in the day everyone was all about Platini, understandable but I always had a soft spot for Alain Giresse. Absolutely tiny at 5 foot 4 but such a good playmaker and that midfield that also included Tigana and Hernandez was brilliant

MF Socrates
Whats not to like about Socrates? One cool bugger. Walked around the pitch, played backheels about as often as regular passes and just looked boss. The term languid was invented for him.

MF Sara Däbritz
Am I allowed women? It's my list I will do what I want. I watch a lot of women's football and she is the only modern player in my team which says a lot really. Scores some cracking goals, completely two footed and a very intelligent footballer who always takes up good positions and makes space for others.

ST Stephane Chapuisat
I loved the 90's Dortmund team, it had a ridiculous amount of talent with the likes of Sammer, Reuter, Riedle, Kohler, Moller etc but Chapuisat was one of my favourites. A top goalscorer in the 90's whoever he played for. I thought about putting Alain Sutter in here but only opted for one Swiss player and Chapuisat did more in his career.

ST Preben Elkjaer
The mid 80's Danish side is usually linked to the brilliance of Michael Laudrup, rightfully so as he was a great player but I preferred Elkjaer. An aggressive striker who would chase down anything and worked so well with Laudrup.

Honorable Mentions

Soren Lerby
Jurgen Kohler
Glenn Hysen (pre Liverpool days obviously...)
Glenn Stromberg
Carlos Valderamma
Klaus Augenthaler
Darko Pancev
Jan Cuelemans
Yasuhito Endo
Paul McGrath
Hristo Stoichkov
