So you'd drop a player whos low on confidence after putting in a few decent performances? Yeh, that'll do his confidence the world of good. Jelavic will and should start against Wigan, he'll also slot.

Howard

Coleman
Heitinga
Distin
Baines

Gibson
Osman

Pienaar
Fellaini
Mirallas

Jelavic

Subs:
Mucha
Duffy
Neville
Hitzlsberger
Oviedo
Naismith
Anichebe

Mucha
Coleman-Heitinga-Duffy-Baines
Fellaini-Hitz
Naismith Pienaar
Anichebe-Jelavic

Howard, Distin, Mirallas, Stones, Barkley, Vellios and Oviedo on the bench.

Mirallas on the bench to avoid injuries and Distin hasn't been great as of late, might need a break.

So you'd bench a player who is full of confidence? Glad you're not our manager.

Do you watch football?

Howard - im guessing his absence against reading was a precaution and he will be fit for this
Coleman - outstanding contribution against readings and good crossing can't see him being dropped
heitinga - not the first choice central defender but its either him or a youth player, can't see moyes risking the latter
distin - solid first team choice, no change really
baines - undroppable and unless injured will surely start
osman -the workhorse will be required to string things in the middle
pienaar - man of the match v reading, him and baines combine well together and is first choice starter as well
mirallas - great performances in last 2 games, can he make it 3 on the run? surely a starter
fellaini - the boss who scored the opener last week and is our talisman at the moment, first teamer at all times
gibson - we rarely lose when he plays, he always creates openings, can't see him being dropped

who plays up front - the expensive striker jelavic or the youth product who has been playing well in anichebe?

i would still stick with jelavic for now and see how he does for 60 mins or so, if he's not doing much can always make changes.

Messed up with the dates actually, since it's a whole week for the City match I'd play Mirallas and maybe Gibson(depends on the injury) I still think that Distin has been average the last few games (late in the duels, losing headers etc), so I'd use the Wigan game to see if Heitinga can sort himself out.

For me it has to be our best team due to how important this game can be for our season so I would like to see the below... on the heitinga/duffy issue I cant see Moyes going with Duffy due to experience only, Heitinga got made a show off at their place earlier in the season so hopefully it doesnt happen again..

Howard
Coleman Heitinga Distin Baines
Gibson Osman
Mirallas Fellaini Pienaar
Jelavic

In the coming weeks would like to see Osman rested as i think he is looking slightly tired later, esp in last 2 home games, when that happens wouldnt mind seeing Oviedo playing out wide with Fellaini in deeper role and Pienaar/Mirallas of the main striker.

Same as Saturday. Heitinga starts for Jagielka.

Ive just nearly threw up when I seen someone had Naismith in their 11 for a cup quarter final at home!!
