Your greatest 'moment' at Goodison

Good times.

Not a Blue as you know but I can confirm after c80 odd visits with my lad and now his lad, it is a very special place. Crammed into those streets is a sense of community and belonging that you see everywhere you look on match days. So, a few from me;

The siren and Z Cars
My 7 year old lad clutching his stomach with nerves sat in the Main Stand just before his very first game (5.5.95, 0-0 v Southampton).
The Sunderland 7-1
The Villarreal night
The James McFadden goal v Charlton (and discovering that my son knew soooo much Anglo Saxon)
The Moyes debut and Unsworth early goal

I regret Goodison's passing like I regret so much of what we took for granted about Football passing, but Everton lives on!
Good luck on Saturday mate, I've got a very good feeling that Palace will win it.
I hope so, football needs it and I think the whole Country will be on your side.

Seeing the ball hit the back of the net when Tarkowski scored the equaliser this season.

Calvert-Lewin's header against Crystal Palaces and the celebrations that followed - complete disbelief at what happened that night.

Winning the Merseyside Derby last season and witnessing the atmosphere at the end of that match.

Doucouré's goal against Bournemouth to keep us up on the last day of the 22/23 season.

Many others worth honourable mentions: Iwobi vs Newcastle, the 4-0 against Man Utd (18/19 season), the 3-0 vs Newcastle last season, the late Demarai Gray winner vs Arsenal, Duncan Ferguson's first game as caretaker vs Chelsea and many others.

For every happy memory I have of Goodison, I probably have unhappy memories of defeats and unrest. However, we should try to consign that to the past and focus on our better moments at Goodison. Others will probably agree with the moments I have mentioned but will certainly have their own as well. Unfortunately, I did not witness the truly great moments (such as the Bayern Munich semi-final and the title wins in the Catterick and Kendall eras).

I only get about once a season so don't have a massive lot to choose from but my favourite game was a 1 nil home win v Norwich in 2005 that kept us on track for Champions League qualification. Big Dunc got a lateish winner under the lights. Almost certain that we had just signed Arteta and he was introduced to the crowd that night.

I wouldn't say it was the best moment, but when Radzinski scored in the 93rd minute V Southampton was a game I particularly enjoyed because I was there with my nephew. Also, beating Crystal Palace 4 - 0, Arteta's first goal for us, and James Vaughan breaking the record for the youngest scorer. My nephew and nieces were with me for that game.
