17 year old Academy/Reserve defender (centre back?) Shane Duffy's been given a provisional call up to the full N.I. squad for their friendly against Italy next month.

It's a bit less meaningful seeing as there's 10 uncapped players named and is only a friendly and (no offence intended) N.I. isn't exactly teeming with world class players - but still, he's impressed Worthington enough to warrant the recognition.

Not much info about the lad around - anyone seen him in action reckon he'll be on the edge of the 1st team squad next season?...

Seen him a few times and i can tell you he has been the best player on the pitch every time. His reading of the game is amazing for someone so young, and his heading is just as good. He's got everything needed to be a top top player for us. Not sure if he'll make the first team squad next year or not. I have heard Preston wanted him on loan, as did Watford.
