Yobo, Jags, and Lescott

Yobo used to play right back for the Nigerian national team. It would be interesting to see him there because he does have speed and good ball control..well I still think he does

No doubt about his improvement.

But if I were the manager and considering that type of change, then I'd do it after the season's over and not during a crucial stretch of games.

Many may say that it wouldn't hurt with Jags at right back vs. Hibbert or Neville but I would say that it possibly could.

Hibbert and Neville are known quantities at that position.

For me, I'd rather have Hibbert finish out the season at RB with Neville on the bench but we all know that won't happen.

The few times Yobo played right back for us he looked very uncomfortable as well. I agree with the sentiment that we have 3 excellent CBs, but none of them is a right-back, so if Baines is a starter then one of the 3 will be on the bench.

Nice problem to have.

If we move one of them to RB we are taking away a damn good central defender. Fair enough if one of them was good on the right but chances are they aren't now and never will be so its better to buy a decent first choice right back who can defend and do a good job going forward and leave the rest of the defence as it is.

The main problem we have at right back is distribution (i.e., Neville and Hibbert can't pass), not actual defensive quality. I don't think Jags would make a great improvement there.
