This is the simple truth of the matter.

We all know at the end of the season we'll get the Kenwright SSN interview where BK glories in being the head of a boardroom that doesn't kneejerk. It's the one and only thing that idiot has going for him. and he'll be reluctant to abandon the proud boast.

Roberto is safe as houses.

At what point do you think he would have to make a decision?

To be fair Bill really cares but lacks the finances.
He backs his managers and is certainly no idiot.
Like he says there is nobody willing to buy the club just look at Villa.

Next 5 games will `test` the friendship. I can`t see were the points are coming from, drop into the bottom three and its `mutual consent` time

You're looking at Easter with us 4th or 5th from bottom.

Only under those dire circumstances.

No, rest assured, there'll still be a Robertonian in the dugout come May and for seasons to come.;)

And Everton right back up the league too.

With no shirking yellow belly bottlers in sight too.

No, he's a fraud. But he will stick by a manager.

Not that I'd call what's happening now 'sticking by him'...we're 12th in the table for goodness sake!

I think he might jump at that point, he did with Smith.

It's all fanciful anyway. We are NOT heading in that direction, so there'll be no such decision to make.

I still wouldn't expect it but you're right we're going no way close to those levels of desperation, lower half of the top of the table come seasons end.

He really cares about the club and is doing the best job he can.
Its all about money nowadays and there is nobody out there willing to buy us.
Thats for another thread anyway and i suppose i am biased after spending time in his company on a few occasions.
He is backing the manager in the long term that i know,so even if we did go down there would be no button being pushed.

Good to know.

@Plotters

We can write off this season as we have in most of the last 20 seasons or so.......so nothing new here.
Martinez has to learn from this season and be quite ruthless in the summer if he wants to advance on his style of footy.
I have belief in him and don't think we will be dragged into a relegation scrap. We have actually improved over the last few games and we just need a scrappy or good win and we will be up and running again.
If anything has been learned its the fact that too many of our players are not gifted enough on the ball to be called creative.

Anyone who thinks that Bill is a soft touch and would sit on his hands if he genuinely thought we were in the PL mire has got rocks in their head.

Whether he likes the man or not (and he definitely does btw) if it got to the point where he felt we were heading out the division, he'd take him out back and shoot him.
