His delusion has plunged new depths
How is it delusional to look at the table, see that we're 12th with 8 rubbish teams below us and declare we're in no realistic danger?

The deluded are those who believe, from a position like this, we're going down.

No one has actually said "we're definitely going down" and meant it. It's the people who are saying "nah there's no chance we'll be involved in a relegation fight, despite being 4 points off the drop zone and could possibly be 1 point off or even in it after the next 3 games" that will end up looking stupid if we do get dragged into it. Would you rather be going into the last 3 games of the season:

1) 14th in the table but 1 point off 18th
or
2) 17th but 5 points off 18th?

Which of those has a more "realistic" chance of going down, in your opinion?

Yeah, Mike Walker has a lot to answer for.

We panic about relegation far too easily as a fan base.

It was why Moyes and Kenwright got so much time, because we were so scared of relegation that we convinced ourselves that any change would lead us to dropping out of the league.

The latter.

I wonder if the Buffoon plays the bassoon.

Any news on palace having a knees up abroad? I wonder who'll come back injured for us.

Incredible. The delusion is off the scale on this forum

Teams in the relegation zone rarely string numerous results together otherwise they wouldn't be there.

If you are 14th, you need 4 teams to overtake you. With 3 games to go and us having 2 home games, one against sunderland to play you need 4 teams bettering your results to send you down. All 4 teams are not going to do it

If you're 17th you only need one team to go on a run. And one team always does.

I'd rather have teams between us and relegation than points.

What are you mithering yourself about last three games of the season for?

This is the whole problem: some are getting way too far ahead of where we are at right now. Be vigilant and mindful of what could happen, yes, but dont let it overcome you with headless chicken panic.

I suspect Moyes got so much time because he did a really good job and didn't deserve to be sacked.

And I suspect people are concerned about relegation, because with over half the season gone, we are only a few points from the relegation zone, I suspect Mike Walker has nothing to do with it.

Martinez will turn this around though.

The latter.
