I'm not saying his age is a problem in itself, just in terms of value for money. I'd rather just keep Mina if the sort of valuations being rumoured are anywhere near close to true.

I find the Koulibaly rumours weird because I think the 4 CB options we have are fine and certainly the least problematic area of the squad.

I can only think that either:

a) Carlo has been offered the chance to sign him and can’t turn it down, seeing Yerald as the most saleable asset to make room

b) Yerry is homesick or just wants away in general

c) It’s a jarg 2+2 rumour and our big, Colombian powerhouse is going nowhere

I mean, i guess it's a case of having a brand new Ford Focus and someone offering you a Lamborghini. Yes, your Focus is brand new, runs smooth, has little issue, but your Lamborghini is fast, has the wow factor, and is still an upgrade.

I agree, it's weird when defence is our strongest, but if rumours were true (big IF, I'm sure a bigger side, would come right in), then he'd improve our defence no end. I guess Mina would be the easy person to sell because Keane, Godfrey and Holgate all meet our HG quota, and with the latter two, have versatility.

One of the reasons I would keep Mina is his friendship with James. If it helps convince him to stay the full 3 years it will be more than worth it. In fairness Mina is a decent player in his own right and there is no guarantee any replacement will be an improvement.
