Thats like saying its silly replacing Davies with Gomes is daft our record with Davies in the side is better with him than without.

No one is saying Keane hasn't improved on last season, but we've signed a likely better defender for big money whos sat on the bench and he needs to be given the chance to see how he does with Zouma.

If Mina comes in and bombs fair enough hook him and get Keane back in the starting 11 but he needs the chance to show what he's about imo otherwise there was zero point spending big money on him.
Minna hasn't even played for us yet but you want him to replace one of our better performing defenders.

Players must know that if they play well they can trust the manager to reward their performances. If you get dropped even when playing well it will dent your confidence in the manager.
Young players like Davies , Kenny, Holgate, DCL and Lookman are still in learning mode and will be introduced into the team and taken out at different times.

Silva wont change the defence until we lose a game but I doubt we'll get a result tomorrow.

Keane has improved however we have played 3 teams:

Fulham
Leicester
Palace

2 of those were toothless and the other Keane struggled against Vardy and it could have finished a draw that game had he not missed a sitter.

I just think as soon as we come up against a side with pacy forwards Keane gets found out and if Silva has sense he would stick Mina alongside Zouma and get that partnership forming over the coming games.

Totally agree but mina could face the same problems. But he's going to be a top top defender for us when he gets up and running. We don't need to rush him in thankfully, something we weren't saying a month or so ago.

He'll get his chance v Chelsea, people saying he should start against Brighton are probably right. I'm not keen on a Keane and mina partnership, but against Murray they should be alright.

Didn't Keane cost £30 million? And Zouma is only on loan.

He’ll change the defence when we play Chelsea because we have to.

Biggest plus point to Chelsea is that all their pace is through the wings, Grioud and Morata aren't exactly quick and Hazard plays a free role.
