Nope that was Dyche's defensive set up. We could get the whole Atletico back line and still conceede 3 or 4 if its a different style and system.

We need to sign players that fit what we want to do. Not someone who has had a great season in a totally different set up.

This. Vastly more important than which team a signing comes from, or how much they cost.

Not even clear we've figured out what this is yet.

Could be. One thing for certain, once 9th August has been and gone, Mina will be fodder for all the none English teams like Lyon. So it would certainly suit Lyon if doubts were put in Mina's mind over joining Everton.

I think it's becoming clear that English clubs have put themselves at a big disadvantage by voting for a unilateral early closure of the transfer window, and I wouldn't be surprised if they reverted to UEFAs dates in future.
