I would agree with the Cahill assessment. He always seemed like he was in the that 'thread' they talk about going through a team and without out we seemed to stall in the final a lot. When Cahill arrived last season we went on a tear in the league and Cahill himself was netting goals almost every game. Not to mention is one of our non-midgets who is particularly dangerous on set pieces. I worry about his foot and think we need to find another Cahill type as a big priority.

He has been quite a buy for us, its great having a top proven goalscorer in the side, something we have lacked for years.
If he gets a long term injury next season we could be well up against it.

the Yak was just warming up last season/
starters if you will. let's serve him up his main course. feed him FFS.

did you ever think he might be like mcfadden, beattie, and johnson, and have a good season until we buy a better striker to push him aside, and then he falters just like the rest of them?

Well if we buy a better striker who scores more goals then we sell him for profit ill me quite happy! :)

surley there is only so long we can continue to do that? If another striker came in and scored 23 yet Yakubu scored 17, Surley we would be getting to a point now where we cant keep expecting better.

Reminds me of reading this :

Apart from Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and A.C. Milan were also interested in signing the Brazilian youngster.[2] Breno refused to sign with Real Madrid after they wanted a bone analysis to prove his young age.
