And some people don't want Europe. My best memories as an Everton fan are from 07/08 when we played in UEFA Cup - Yakubu and Johnson were slotting for fun. Remember Brann Bergen?

Bring it back :)

As a norwegian living in Bergen at the time you wouldn't believe how chuffed i was to see Everton play in my home city. You can be cynical all you want about how europe drains the squad, but rmember we're usually boss in europe, and eveyrone just loves the spirit of a night game against different opposition.

Im sure we finished 7th the seasons we had Europe !!

A sensible manager will do ok.

It's a ready made excuse for the week managers.

We we're in Europe in 2007/08 and finished 5th that season, and we were in the hunt for a Champions League place for a good chunk of that season. It is possible to have a European campaign and be good in the league.

Plus we were in the League Cup semis if I remember correctly

Boss in that one season, pump the rest of the time.
Agreed. Pretty sure a deal was being set up wasn't it for Redknapp to sign him for Spurs and his head had already been turned by that when ironically he got his injury against them. Quality slotter on his day. Pissed off Moyes didn't get rid though when West Ham were willing to splash a few million on him instead of flogging him to Blackburn for 1m

Thought he was getting back to normal when he single handedly bullied the shiites back 5, then slotted against i think it was stoke then he was dropped to be never seen properly again.

I thought he was a little better mate in that Derby but no where near back to the level he was in his first seaaon. He done a quality shove on that ugly Lurch skin head bloke and had a shot from 25 yards that I can remember and a few other bits and bobs but not the same player he was.
