ok so you want Barkley & Naismith to start.....be interesting to see how you manage that...i assume you've watched us this season.....

Did you not read the first sentence about playing the SAME formation that we played against Arsenal. You know 4-3-3 with Ross in midfield, Naismith as the false 9 and Lukaku wide right.

Tim, Baines, Distin, Stones, Coleman, Barry, McCarthy, McGeady, Naismith, Mirallas, Lukaku would be my starting eleven. I would love another tactical display from RM of the Arsenal match variety, something completely different that would make more sense after the match.

Evra is proper pony so i wouldnt be surprised to see Romelu out there again, but i cant even predict the team with Roberto.

Howard
Coleman Stones Jags Baines
McCarthy Barry
Lukaku Barkley Mirallas
Naismith

If not working - after 10 mins change it to:

Howard
Coleman Stones Jags Baines
McCarthy Barry
Naismith Barkley Mirallas
Lukaku

we played lukaku wide right to get at Monreal...we picked their obvious weak link and attacked it....

Naismith (false or otherwise) isn't a good number 9...

(4-2-3-1) Howard; Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Baines; McCarthy, Barry; Naismith, Barkley, Mirallas; Lukaku.

Osman should start this one. I think he provides somewhat of a calming influence when we're on the ball and he's on form. Barkley was cack in the last game. I have to say Barkley drives me more nuts than any other everton player just cos he's so inconsistent and I know what he CAN do when he decides he's clued into it. It's all about the upstairs department with that lad and whether it's switched on or not. But anyway, that's for another thread.

Be under no illusion this will not be an easy game. Some people have totally the wrong attitude and think we're gonna stroll this. Not a chance. United have the best away record in the premiership. Our defence will have to be very much focused for 90 mins (really we could've conceded a couple at old Trafford) and we'll have to be smart going forward. Passing it into a heavily marked Lukaku over and over again just ain't gonna work as we saw v palace. If deulofeu starts he needs to mix it up with a run inside from time to time. Too many straight predictable runs down the flank the last day which is not only bad for him but it effectively takes out any of coleman's attacking threat. Barry and McCarthy will start centre mid no doubt about it. Hopefully Lukaku will be well up for this one cos he was lame as hell the last game.

I thought the fans were great against palace but we're gonna have to be even louder against this shower. Scare them into cack football and motivate the blues to rip them apart. I reckon this'll be a tight one but an early goal would do us wonders! Fingers crossed fierce tight.

COYB!

Martitez said no serious injures/knocks picked up and expects everyone to be fit for sunday, that was v palace,so lets see if he was not fibing

They've a good away record which is probably because of the pressure at OT, it must feel like a holiday every 2nd week. Pressure's back on for this one though, for the manager at least.

I think utd are a bit slow in central midfield, we need to run at them here so Barkley over Osman for me.

Who starts out wide is a marginal call and whoever is left on the bench will probably see action at some point.

I'd go with McGeady and Mirallas, just on instinct.

I bet Moist is badly tempted to push Fellaini forward, he won't though as it would go down like a bag of sick with UTD fans.
