I though that mammoth of a defender, Bikey of Reading, done well against us at their place last year. He just snotted the living [Poor language removed] out of any of our players who came near him during the match.

thanks for reminding me, my first match of a poor season. :@

New Real Mallorca own Paul Davidson has denied reports that former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness will be joining the Spanish Liga club.

Davidson, 53, said although he was friendly with Wyness he had only asked him for "advice and assistance" about football clubs before agreeing to buy the 93.7% share in the Spanish La Liga team earlier this month.
Davidson said:

"Keith's a great friend of mine but when buying tiles you talk to the people who know about tiles.

"I do wish him well. It is a great loss to the club. It is a great loss to Everton."

Davidson said he had spoken to Wyness about football clubs because he had been a "success" and he believed it would not be long before he had another job.

He said: "Keith Wyness has been advising me about this (Real Mallorca) all the way. The deal would not have happened at Real Mallorca without him. He has given advice and assistance.
"He has not been asked to join the club."

Translation:

"We will be offering him a job in two weeks when the ruckus has died down."

The thought went through my mind that the club may be prudent to insist on him going on gardening leave given that he boke his contract and didnt give the required notice.

The worrying thing would be that if he did go to another club is that he would have inside knowledge on players contracts, wages, release clauses and how difficult or not negotiateing them had/have been and what our players expectations are/were.

Depends on the size of the club he goes too, as to whether that would be a problem. Cant see many quitting Everton for Real Mallorca

Can't be any worse than when Kenyon went from Man Utd to Chelsea when Abramovich took over.

I think wyness must of done something seriously wrong to resign and the club not enforce his 12 month notice period.

has he jumped or was he pushed?
