Wyness - Resigned

It's amazing how a ridiculous story like this, which is based on nothing whatsoever other than rumour and speculation, can be so readily believed. Just ask yourselves, if the same channels had reported that Everton were to put in a £25m bid for Berbatov, would you believe them ? Of course not.

It's all down to psychology. We've all been kept in the dark for weeks and months about the club's intentions in the transfer market, we've been frustrated by the lack of meaningful activity, so gradually we've sunk into pessimism and allowed our most sinister fears and suspicions to take hold. Positive stories are regarded with scepticism, while negative stories, no matter how flimsy and improbable, tend to be believed.

Get a grip.

how wrong you were.....

i love Kenwrights quote

Chairman Bill Kenwright added: “Keith is going but the club is unaffected.

He was deffo pushed imo.

How am i struggling? Quite obviously it will make money, extra fans and extra boxes

you seem to be struggling in that you are citing sources of additional income as if wyness wouldn't have included them in his figures.

i haven't said it won't make any money, although i have seen that case made, merely that based on the information from wyness, who would seem to have been in a better position to know than you or i, it doesn't seem likely that it will make very much money to support moyes in the transfer market & so doesn't really meet the primary objective as declared by wyness.

Everton Football Club was just fine before Keith Wyness got here.

Everton Football Club will be just fine after Keith Wyness has left.

No one person is bigger than the club. Remember that.

Now Moyesy on the other hand....

the guy who broke the wyness rumour

has confirmed Robert elstone is out of the door too

According to some guy on NSNO - havnt checked it out yet though

I can understand people's concerns over being a bit of a 'rudderless ship' so to speak, but Everton FC is better off without Wyness.

He had no affinity for Everton Football Club, its fans or its history. His performance as CEO, it seems to me (though I am hardly a businessman myself) was disastrous as we lost money, sold assets, saw a downturn in turnover and repeatedly let down the fans (ticket arrangements for Villareal, the flight to Bucharest, legal action against fans' groups, advocating the 39th game)

Those remaining at the club (Moyes/Kenwright and staff) will pull together to ensure we are ready for the start of the season. I remember reading a few weeks back that Wyness' role was exclusively to look after Destination Kirkby and he had no hand in the day-to-day running of the club so I doubt any other aspect of the club will be badly affected. And, to be frank, let's hope Destination Kirkby IS badly affected, because we're probably better off where we are anyway.

we are lucky to have got rid of him.

Its clear Kirkby is going to be called in, as if Wyness would miss out on his little success / celebration speach were he tells everyone how everton are moving forward with the Kirkby move.

Wasnt he after a job at the Olympics or something?, instead he is now moving to Real Mallorca who are considerably smaller than Aberdeen.

See you later.
