I think it's irrelevant now anyway, it's fell perfectly for Martinez, but for the team, the season's now a write off. 9 points clear of the bottom three, with Burnley amassing just 25 points from 30 games, i think as much as I like them, i can't see everyone below us, and around us going on unstoppable runs, which sees us drop that far to go down, so we're safe.

I said in another thread that our season was just at an impasse now, so we can't do anything except climb higher into midtable, so with that in mind, there's no pressure on the players, and we'll probably go on and have a really strong finish. Typical Everton lol

But yeah, perfect for Martinez, as the strong finish, will probably dilute any hatred towards him, and subsequently he'll start afresh in the new season.

For a flashback, nearly a year since we beat Arsenal 3-0, and we sat 9 points off top of the league, fast forward 1 year, and we're 9 points off relegation, and our season is practically over. Shame.

Happy about our upturn in league results. But our league form is DLLWW. Adding cup results for the extra W and only listing 4 when 5 is the minimum anyone has ever used to call something form is a nice trick. Barry has been banned for both of those Ws and Gibson has added much need flowing forward passes. I'm wanting to be optimistic but I need to see what happens next game. Then he gets a summer to replace Howard and Alcaraz at the very minimum, if either are in the positions they were this season then he can do one.

Stay on topic please.

I think we can win our next game (is this ok modz)

Good point..
WWLW is definitely better than what we have been doing this season, but imagine this thread creators reaction if I created this thread when Moyes was in charge...

That being said.. It is an improvement on what has been, and there are signs that we may not be as bad as we were throughout the season now, even if we made some very poor opponents look very decent getting the results, improvement has to start somewhere, lets see how the 6 games form looks. If it continues like this, then I think the mood will start to lighten.

Bit early to say we have turned a corner, or that we are even safe yet though imo.
