Spurs are 7th and we're 19 points off that spot. Water seems dirty and shark infested. 8th I guess is possible mathematically, but we won't get close based on today's performance.

9 points to 8th could be possible but we've almost got to win every game. Saying that, if we get moving, we can certainly finish top half.

We arent going to finish top half and i can promise you we will lose more games.
We haven't turned over a new leaf by beating a relegated team and a poor newcastle. Its a start sure, and i hope we can win more because thats what we want our club to do. But right now we are 9 clear and half of our players are going to cruise now until the summer because they know they dont have to put in 100% now the fear of the battle has gone.

I am not worried about our standard of football at the moment. We all know that when things are going against you as a manager, you go back to basics , you become hard to beat, you become mean and you steal points where you can. Kiev apart we have become harder to score against, and in just a few games we have moved out of relegation trouble. We just may be sale with the points total even as it is.
When some confidence returns, so will the style of football played last season , passes will be on target and chances will be made...and hopefully taken.
The next game at Goodison in a couple of weeks is now a vastly more difficult game for Southampton than it was three or four weeks ago. I think we will beat them, a month ago I would have taken a point.
