Big yes!

Still young, Premiership class...can be moulded. Has very good feet and is very direct.

He's better than Peter Crouch and most on here would bum him to come to our club.....

Andy Carroll that is. Rumours abound (don't they always) that he wants to leave in the wake of the Chris Hughton sacking affair.

Talk of 15m seems prodigiously steep. If he was available at a reasonable price would any of you be interested in the pugnacious geordie? (I've read that many transfer rumours I'm sure I've started writing like a red top journalist)

Has been compared in style to a young Duncan Ferguson.

I want a poll you horror.

Where's the poll?

Polls make things exciting. Statistics answer everything. If 58% of GOT members want him here, who can argue with that?

POLL IT.

Uh I guess other 42% of GOT members who don't want him here could argue with that. Think he'd be OK but we can't afford him. We'd have to sell alot to buy. Lazy H is 4-6M at best and Peanut (if we want to take the risk selling him this far down in the table) will be 2M at best. Yak no one seems to want for how much we'd ask and Saha probably makes too much to offload at a decent price.

If we are going to move for a striker I think we're more in the Elmander on a free in the summer transfer window range.

Voted yes. He's young, has a bright future, and has kept consistently good form throughout the season. Exceptional work rate on the guy. Tracks back, doesn't get tired towards end of games, terrific header, both in attack and defence.

On the other side, all Newcastle players are basically classless chav idiots, and he's obviously no exception. Plus he's a huge fan favourite and just signed a five year contract. That'll be 15m minimum for the guy, which honestly is way out of our budget, and a sum which would afford us someone way way better.

Yakubu for 11.25m, Andy Johnson sold for 10m+, Bily 9m...

15m may be a bit steep (especially since we are everton and have no money), but I would fully expect him to go for over 10m. He is a proven young english striker will be a smart buy for someone (assuming he is still under contract for a few years). Considering the new "foreign player" rules etc, that will make him even a bit more valuable (a rule Rodwell's value is benefiting from too).
