Besides that it's a stupid question.

I can't honestly think of a better way of starting the third world war than by voting Tory in order that Everton win the league.

No I wouldn't vote Tory because winning the league is temporary whereas the evil party just want to destroy people and make them poorer. And for those idiots saying that means I'm not an Evertonian well you are an idiot because the future of the country is more important.

Besides that it's a stupid question.

With all due respect*, the question is a hypothetical one and you should look on it as a "Fairy Godmother" wish. I'll try to Keep It Simple for you both.

A fairy godmother comes along and says to you ...

"Vote Tory and Everton will win the league"

Please assume that you can take that at face value and assume the promise will be fulfilled, then, if you live in a constituency where a Labour or Conservative MP is guaranteed to be returned, then it's a no brainer. i shall assume both of you always vote Labour, so, if you vote Tory, the Tory majority will just be two more than it otherwise would be ( or the Labour majority would be two less), and you changing your vote will make no difference to the outcome, BUT, you switching your vote means you are happy to pass on a guaranteed Everton League win.

Now, I live in an area of Manchester where I know a labour MP will be returned, so I'd happily sell my vote to the the Tories in exchange for another title. If either, or both of you, live in marginal constituencies, then I can understand your reluctance to take your fairy godmothers offer, because that would truly be an unfair choice between club and country, but, for most people, that's not the case.

All this thread shows is there are people on here that, even if their vote in the election will make no difference, they would still vote "on principle" and would be prepared to see the club trophyless. Personally, I find that quite interesting, and would certainly question their priorities.

*in some circles, with all due respect normally means "I think you're talking rubbish". This is not something I believe, but thought it was worth sharing.

I'd vote Tory for a reasonable sandwich, given I live in Kirkby and it wouldn't make the blindest bit of difference to the result.

For the two guys I quoted above, this is the answer I would expect from an Evertonian who has his head screwed on and isn't leaving in la-la land.

Like sneering at people do you? "I will keep it simple for you" do one.

Besides your initial question never went into this level of detail until you decided to sneer at people. The fact you would sell your vote to the Tories for another title shows and tells me more about you then anything.

Under NO circumstances would I ever vote Tory. Good enough for You?

Ah the old edit with more sneering at people. Like sneering at people do You? You think we are living in la la land? Maybe it's because I think and care more about people in this country and stick to my principles.

Just do one you sneering Tory.

Ah, right, you're one of those type of people then who are happy to type long and hard as long as no-one challenges their views.
Sound lad.

Given the question was a quite simple choice, and others plainly understood it, I think your "sneering" at the level of detail says a lot about you.

Under NO circumstances would I ever vote Tory. Good enough for You?

Absolutely, i have no problem with that. Basically you're saying your principles are more important than the club, which is fine. i don't agree with you, but that's what makes a debate, as opposed to just a rant.

I'm a socialist, always have been always will be, but, I live in the real world, whereas you seem to exist mainly to be angry on the internet, which, of course, is your right, but, if you can't be vaguely civil towards someone who doesn't wholeheartedly agree with every one of your views, then you will go through live feeling victimised and misunderstood, which is a shame. You could learn from this exchange, but you likely won't.

I see you've now met our Socialist Cockerknee who believes that scousers can't be Evertonians if they vote blue.....happy days.......enjoy.....

Well one is a Cockerknee who has never lived in Liverpool or been to Goodison Park and the other is a fence sitter......

Some serious non Evertonians on here.......it's a title lads, I've seen us win 4 of them and I want to see a 5th and a 6th and a 7th.......politics can just do one tbh........

That was a shock, didn't know that.

Just because that's been done to you, doesn't make it right!
