Assessing players resale value is fair enough but i'd say that's already been factored in with the prices Pienarr, Donivan and Dempsey are likely to go for.

Find me a 23 year old player as good as Landon who'd go for £4m or so and i'd say go and get him. Unfortunately the 'resale value' red herring results in the likes of downing being sold for £20m or so.

When you factor in wages they'll end up more expensive....theres plenty of examples on the continent of players who are young and would be good signings and command lower wages....
