Would you rather go to wembley and get beat or not go at all?

semi's at the millenium stadium and OT would be ace. wembley HAS to be for finals only, ****ing morons we have at the FA, thinking purely about money. going to wembley twice in one competition? jesus christ.

with regards to the OP

yes i would rather we got knocked out in the 3rd round and not bother with wembley as opposed to a good run until the semi/final

I`m one of those who thinks Wembley should be for the final only.
Semis should be either on neutral ground, or over two legs IMO.

I agree. The aura of wembley is no more, besides the FA and England (or should I say London FC) should be forced to keep their ground for showpieces only and have the rest of the games played in places that are most accessible to fans. Old Trafford / Ethiad /St James / Villa Park / Goodison /Anfield/ Elland Rd/ Emirates....all grounds that can and should host semi's where the ground would be closer to fans and cheaper too.

been to wembley five times seen us win 3 lose 2 and losing has even cost me my job the following monday as i made a woman cry got disciplined and then sacked.

with chelsea, man united and man city still in the cup i would rather play one of them in the quarter finals and take them out than go to wembley and get beat tamely.

wembley is really expensive and such a pain in the arse.
Tell us the story. What happened with the woman?

If you've got the money then go, every time. We can bottle it only so many times. A win is due. I always think to lose a semi is worse than at a final. Neither is great mind. It's been years since I went to watch Everton at Wembley. Would love the chance to go again. Such a great day out when it goes right.

Weird question.
I'd rather go. If you're not there, you've got no chance of winning. No chance at all.

Some of us on here osund as scared as Moyes about these things. Let's not bother doing the premier league hey because we're not going to win that either. All those European nights in Nuremburg Alkmaar and Lisbon must have been pointless as well because we didn't win that. I'd rather go and lose anytime then never have even got there at all. The more times we go the better chance we have of kicking our big game nerves. if we're there every year then you give yourself a chance to win one of them by hook or by crook. If you're only turning up once every ten years then its always going to be a massive game and an excuse for the team to bottle it. Loved watching the other semi in 2009 knowing that we'd already booked our spot in the final and the final day itself was great despite the loss. No point being in football if you can't handle the big games, otherwise there'd be absolutely nothing to look forward to all season.
