Would you have Arteta back?

Didn't actually kiss it. But near enough.

This was worse. He's really got issues and is obviously furious we beat them

Well a player who had never won a trophy in English football scored a penalty to put his current side 2-1 up in an FA cup QF, and celebrated in front of his home fans by jogging away and grabbing (not kissing) the badge of his team during a relatively mild mannered celebration.

WHAT AN EVIL EVIL MAN.

I bet he didn't care one bit about that own goal after finishing 4th in the league THE MONSTER.

Joe Allen is younger and does the same thing. I don't really want Joe Allen either. He's gone from attacking player at Everton to east-west passing with some sorry D mixed in which we don't need.

He is dead sexy.

No way I'd ever have him back. He looked the tit against Everton. Good on you Ross for giving him the business. He looked the tit today. Snide clips followed by whingeing. Love him desperately but would rather have ye mar than him back in blue. He destined for a year or two at Fenherbahce before he traipses off with Lorena in the sunlight in San Sebastian. He is ace though, ain't he?

Should be signing someone for the long term to created a central midfield dynasty with barkley and mccarthy.

Hes not good enough for us now and has lost his pace generally. Hes also slow in the tackle which is resulting in even more free kicks against him. I don't think he'll be good enough for Arsenal in Wenger's eyes either and can probably see him looking to go back to Spain.

No, not even close to our standard IMHO, a player that offers no physical ability whatsoever, just passes it side to side, scared to tackle strong players, everton are better than that. I'm just happy wenger seems to like him a lot so hopefully he stays there and keeps playing regularly and weakens their league campaign next season as he did this season so we get a better chance of top 4

It is only when a player leaves a club that their status can really be determined.
Cahill has gained in status , but then he has moved to a different club and continues to call himself an Evertonian.
Arteta continues to play in the premiership, so he is still seen as a competitor. But, I think the difference is that when they retire and
are asked which clubs they played for in their carreers, Cahill will always say Everton first and Arteta will say Arsenal.

Given he got an FA cup medal for them... well that's sad but that what historians will record.
I guess Moyes didn't play to his strengths, either.

Two games this year of questionable carry on by Arteta doesn't erase the years that he spent here being one of our best players and vice captain.

Yes he was a snide in the cup and in the home league fixture, but we battered them in the second game and he scored an own goal for good measure.

Even. Finished. Move on. He doesn't deserve the level of hate he has on here now. Just think of Arteta and Cahill celebrating together in blue and try and hate him. Try it.

Cahill is a proper blue, he would never kiss his badge at us and try to get our players sent off if he ever played against us, because he has genuine respect for us even though he wasn't a born Evertonian either.

Players move on and have to give their all for a cause different to us, that's football and most accept that. There's a difference though between proving your allegiance to your new club and completely p*ssing on the previous one who made you.

He's a horrible, little snide who's bought into this "I play for a big club so I should be able to do what I want" mentality. The whole of Arsenal's team are bell-whiffs in all honesty.

He's not like Cahill, but he was here nearly as long as him and was a fantastic player for us. A lot of people have forgiven Rooney for badge kissing and over-celebration when scoring against us and he did that for more years than he was actually here.

Arteta who was the heart of our team for years acts a knobhead for 2 games and he's toxic now? He got his comeuppance at Goodison, he lost, got put in his place by Baines and scored an own goal at the Gwladys. I don't need any more than that.
